"These tires came standard on my Mazda Protege5 and within 9 months I notice that they had a bulge. I took it to the tire dealer for a warranty replacement and was told that it was not covered and it would cost me 160 bucks to replace!! I didn't hit anything hard enough to warrant a ruined tire. Needless to say, I would not recommend these tires. The guy at the tire place told me to expect this again?? "

"These tires came with our Audi A-6, 4.2, as factory equipment, and surprisingly they are 'H' speed rated - probably because top speed on this car is governor limited. They've been good tires, except for tread wear: they've only lasted 24,500 miles before needing to be replaced. "

"I BOUGHT THESE TIRES BASED ON THIS SITES RECOMMENDATION. THEY PERFORMED WELL ON ANY KIND OF SURFACE HOWEVER THE TREAD LIFE WAS ONLY 8 MONTHS AND 7000 MILES. VERY DISAPPOINTING. WILL NOT BUY AGAIN"

"I owen a 96 VW Passat.When I bougth the car it had bran new 215/50zr15 on it and now they are bald around the inside edges of all 4 tires. That's with 3200 miles on them. They were a great tire for a short period of time. Will look to see if I can find something better."

"I've put 20K miles on these tires on a VW Passat and , so far, have no complaints. I did notice the softer sidewalls in cornering as compared to the stock G/Y Eagles, but it was not hard to get used the difference. I drive 525 miles per week, mostly freeway and mostly at 75 to 85 mph. I have been watching the outer tire edges carefully for excessive wear, but have not seen it as of yet. I keep the car's alignment dead on, check tire pressure 2x per week, and rotate every 5K. The tires are performing well and look to live well beyond 50K. "

Solara SLE 2000

"On the Toyota Solara SLE these tires 215/60/16 are excellent in wet conditions. Confident driving with nice road grip or traction, which serves for nice handling in turns, starts, and stops. These tires bring out and compliment the true potential of the Solara in wet conditions. On dry traction, the car stalls when accelerating from a stop position. Handling is still nice. With 5k on these tires, tread has noticeably went down more so than the Michelin Energy. "

"2002 mazda protege 5. Excellent OEM tire, good on dry pavement, good in the wet, although it will hydroplane in the big puddles. Never had them on the ice or snow. First layer of cords are showing at 25,000 miles."

"Avenger ES 215-50/17, agressive driving. This tire is simply great! Had it for 2 complete summers, about 30000km, and they are about half used. Dry traction is incredible, extremely stable on cornering, no noise. Only bad comment to say is on wet traction. NO aquaplanning, but slippery on wet surface. Would definitly buy again, I recommand."

"1995 Volkswagen Passat GLX VR6. OEM were Goodyear Eagle GA. These Dunlop SP Sport 5000 are my only other option. They are 10 times better than the Goodyear. I went through 2 sets of these tires already, will probably buy for the 3rd time before winter. Great dry performance, great conering. Only so-so with wet and winter traction, though they are very good for the first 30K, the tires are just bad on wet afterwards. Comfort is decent, and the noise is acceptable (expect some noise from these asymetrical). I do hydroplane quite a lot with these tires, especially after they are worn. Treadwear is high, expect to get rid of them after a 4 years at most. But... they LOOK good! Definitely buy them again... but then again, what's my alternative? "

"2003 Protege 5 22000 km into these tires. Absolutely worst tires I have ever driven in wet conditions on the highway. Also, treadwear looks a little high for this low of mileage. Would not buy again. Looking at Toyo Proxes T1-S for next summer. Winter Goodyear GW3 or Yoko AVS901's for the winter in 15" steels."
