"I have a 2002 Mazda Protege 5 with 195/50/16 Dunlop SP5000M - I hold a 2002 Mazda Protege 5 with 195/50/16R Dunlop SP5000M. Treadwear: at 82,000 km for 2 years and needs to be changed now, however it is OK for me. Those tires and my reaction saved my life at least 4 times in dry traction, so I love those ones and going to buy set again soon. As well as I have driven a car with nail at middle of the tire for 50 km, and at the parking lot after 8 hours the tire got flat - it is not so bad :-)! Snow traction performance is poor, but I did not have better. Tell me which one it is better please. "

"Lexus ES300 - Purchased almost 2 years ago as replacement tires for my Lexus ES 300 after reading reviews from this site. The Original Goodyears were junk. These Dunlops are excellent. Excellent wear for a "V" rated tire. I put 33,000 miles on them before they finally are now ready for the land-fill. Great wet traction..and yes..very quiet even after 15,000 miles. I would definaly buy these tires again but after reading the info for the new Dunlop SP Sport 01's..I'm going to give those a try..I'll let you know in a few months how they are. "

"MBZ-ML-500-2002 - MBZ put these on as the originals, had a rock puncture at 4k( kms)and another puncture since. Good handling and quiet on dry pavement but outright dangerous on ice and snow. My wife has surfed thru a couple of stop lites because these tires have no capability on ice. It is not the vehicle as this is our 2nd ML and the first one with cheap General tires on it stuck like glue in everything.At 50k they are pretty well done, I am going to try Yokahama Geolanders shortly as I don't want another winter with these skins. ( Michelins are stupid expensive and I understand they wear out even quicker than the Dunlops)"

"2002 Mustang Bullitt - I've had these tires for 30,000kms and the back ones are finished. This is a track car and for street tires these are great. Get them a little hot and they really hook up at the drag track. People complaining about mileage should keep in mind these are Z rated tires and won't last long. In snow they worked ok, but mustangs are terrible in the snow and this car is garaged over winter. Only other tire that is on par for the price is the Kuhmo ECSTA Supra 712's, but don't get caught in the snow with those. At the track they hook up better than any tire from BFG, Goodyear, Yoko, Mich... that are in the same price range."

"Acura 2002 TL-S - This is a good all season high performance tire. I got 34000 miles out of these and I made sure I rotated every 6000 miles and maintained the air pressure. Oh! I wish some of you would check your spelling!"

"2003 Protoge ES - These started out okay but found the dry traction dropped from excellent within a month (4000km). Wet traction has never been good but the tires are now at the end of their life and are quite terrible...might as well be packed snow on the road instead of water. Tires now need to be replaced but survived about 50,000km. Snow? I don't think I'd take on the snow here with these tires."

"2003protegeES - These tires came stock and were very disappointing. They lose traction while cornering in the wet -light rain- (Ex. making a right turn from a stop will spin the tires. You will have to let it roll forwards, and get the car straight before you can accelerate.) As well, the chords in the weak sidewall started bulging at 5000k. when accelerating hard in the dry, the tires seem to have a hard time gripping the road. In the snow, these tires perform like a typical all season tire. Handling through corners is pretty good as long as you dont accelerate until your car is almost straight. I would seriously recommend against this tire. If you are considering these tires because of economic reasons, you may be better off spending a little more and have your tires last longer than 2 years. "

"Had these on my 2002 Mazda Protege5. Just replaced them with (Hankook Ventus K104) after 43,000 - but it was long past due. Very happy with them untill recently. I was going to get the same tire but it was a bit noisy and I wanted a wider tire. With new tires I will need snow tires also."

"Protege 5 - Have a 2002 protege 5, and well this tires are good in dry conditions, but in Wet conditions they are horrible much less in the snow, no traction at all"

"02 Protege - OEM's, got 55k (33,000 miles)out of them, not bad i guess. Good dry traction but wet and snow can be scary.The noise ,ride was never great and got bad toward the end.Won't buy em as replacements ,gonna try Toyo Proxes next. "

"ml500 - had them twice on 2 ml 500 and 320 replaced the first set at 40000ks ready to replace second set at 20000ks. never buy this expensive tire again"
