Falken Ziex ZE-512 Review

John"2003 Subaru Legacy - VERY VERY disappointed in the snow traction of these tires. I would definitely NOT consider these for winter conditions. I live in Vermont, and I just got back from sliding through not 1, not 2, but 3 stop signs. Those who are giving this tire a 5 rating for snow are crazy or haven't driven in real snow. Keep in mind I even have AWD and these are still horrible. Sorry to rant but I was actually scared driving on these tire in the snow. Other All Season tires I have tried have performed much better than these at half the cost. "

dylan"i did not like my falkens at all , they only lasted 11000 on light driving, i know have fuzion zri, and they are better in every way except wet driving. ze 512's wear extremly fast, i had them two times both sets lasted less than 12000, snow is really bad i would say 1.1 of 5.0. and comfort is not very well compared to others in its price range."

I've only had them for 2,000 kms so I can't comment on the treadwear, yet."

Rick"1997 Cirrus - I have about 30k now on these tires. Road noise is high, tread life will never make 60k. Handling, dry is the best in my experience. Don't think I will buy another set."

Paul"Lexus ES300 - Inexpensive, and you get what you pay for, lasted 25,000 miles. Prety god traction, a bit noisier than the Michellin OEM, good ride, terrible wear."

Frank"Dodge Neon - Good looking tires. So far seems to be very good. Smooth ride with very little road noise. Cant say on handling cause I dont really go very fast with a 3 year old child in the car. But the tires, for the price, are great."

Duffer"Ford Mustang - I bought these tires in the spring of 2004. I have found that they work very well in wet and dry road conditions. I have 245/50/ZR16's and find they provide very good traction. I recommend these tires to anyone looking for really good value in a set of tires (good bang for your buck)!"

Havn't yet tried its dry and wet traction but I test out the snow traction right a way. They are awsome tires for winter. I am able to drive around the city with a fair enough high speed (no traction control) and at least 2" snow Tghey are very good for AS tires. Much better than my stock Michelin MX4 and my aftermarket Bridgestone RE950 for much less price. I believe the wet and dry traction should be excellent as well. I will try out the Proxes4 later since there is a 30days trial period but I will recommand this to any one who are looking for AS performance tires."

There are better tires in all of the categories listed. These tires, however, are a very good value which err on the side of comfort. There's nothing scary about their performance as some have contended. They don't feel like driving on 4 balloons. They are commensurate in performance with a high-performance sedan. As for snow traction, they are satisfactory, meaning they satisfy the ability to drive in snow and maintain some level of grip. Any snow tire is going to be better, but these will not leave dead on the side of the road unless you don't believe in driving for conditions."

Maybe it's the Bilstien coilovers and bbs wheels that hide the reported soft walls? I just replaced them and broke them in in this heavy rain and they stick like glue in the wet"
