Dave"I recently had 4 Ziex 512's put on my 2001 Passat (205-55-16") and I must say the car handled great on dry, wet and even snowy/icy roads. However from the moment I drove away from the shop, I noticed the noise that these puppies put out. It was kind of like a high pitched wobble. I took them back and had them rebalanced and checked for roundness. Put them back on and the noise continued. Especially on smooth road surfaces, the noise was unbearable. I took them back and had some Turanzas put on and presto, the car sounds normal again. The handling is probably not as good but the noise coming from the Falkens was driving me absolutely crazy. Perhaps the tires just didn't fit my rims well, I don't know. But I'd say, if like a quiet ride, don't go for Ziex 512s. "

Ayap"Just got these tires mounted on my Audi Allroad. Wow! Much better than my Pirellis. Rides is smooth, very quiet, comfortable, and tight grip on the road. I am able to drive on a curve much fast and in a more stable manner. Falkens are cheaper than Michellins, but you get about the same value. For performance tires (Z rated), 30000 miles is good."

DodgeNeonRT"Great on dry pavement, god-awful in all other conditions. Whoever is bumping up the snow traction ratings in these reviews (which I relied on when I bought the tires) should be shot. I loved them when I put them on in early fall, but as soon as the snow fell I knew I had made a BIG mistake. They are honestly MUCH worse than my old Dunlop D60A2s, which were down to the wear bars. (I wish I had those back for the next couple of months!) There's virtually no traction in any amount of snow and they're truly dangerous -- it's exactly like driving with slicks as the snow packs into the siping and provides zero traction. Can't get moving, can't get stopped. If I had an extra set of rims, these would be off the car in a heartbeat. I'm truly afraid to drive in the snow with them, but I have no choice."

New England girl racer"2000 Honda Civic SI replaced OEM Michelins after 30K miles as winter was approaching and felt the Michelins would not be good enought for winter only had the Falkens since November but am pretty happy so far. good in rain and ok in light snow..note: not a big deal but did some research and found out that these tires are a little smaller section width and tread width than most of your major brands...I was under the impression that same size in all brands would have the same specifications...guess not...learn something new all the time..."

JOE"VERY GOOD TRACTION IN THE RAIN ON FAST STARTS AND STOPS. HOLDS GRIP VERY WELL IN MANUEVERING FAST AROUND COURNERS ON EITHER DRY AND WET STREETS. THIS TIRE HOLDS THE LINE VERY WELL. NO MATTER HOW FAST I TAKE A TURN, THESE TIRES DO NOT CHURP AROUND THE TURN, THE TIRES JUST STICK. I HAVE HAD THEM ON FOR ABOUT 500 MILES NOW. HANDLE VERY WELL THROUGH THE S. CALIFORNIA CANYONS & MOUNTAINS(LOTS OF HIGH SPEED S TURNS)WHERE CAR AND DRIVER MAG DOES THERE TEST DRIVES. DRAMATICLY REDUCE OVER STEER AND UNDER STEER. I HAVE IT ON MY 1998 CHEVY CAVALIER Z28. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMEND THESE TIRES. GREAT FOR SOMEONE THATS DOESNT HAVE TWO SETS OF WHEELS FOR THE DRY AND WET SEASONS, ALSO FOR THAT PERSON THAT LIKES TO SOME SNOWBOARDING! ed"Actually, there are TWO different tires ppl are talking about and that's why they have diff opinions. There is a tire (compound) for 60/65 series and the other - 55 and below. I rate mine - 195/60R14. It's not a winter or racing tire but for what it is, it is amazing!!!"

Tony Talbot "I put Falken Ziex ZE512's on my Nissan Frontier 2wd based on Consumer's Reports rating. It was a bad mistake. They made the truck unsafe to drive. It wanders all over the road and there is no stability. I had the alignment checked and tried different tire pressures from 24psi to 35 psi. Nothing helped. The truck has new KYB shocks so that's not the problem. The truck handled fine with the old Firestone Wilderness tires on it. I suspect the sidewalls of the Falkens are too soft and flexible. I'm going to throw them away after only 2,000 miles. My safety is not worth keeping them. "
