dennis r."these tires are junk. didn't get 30,000 (LHS) with 2 balances. sidewalls are separating. i wouldn't make a tree swing out of a set of new ones;kid would probaly get hurt when the rope tears thru the tire. sell the blimps, start making some quality tires. i'm done with goodyear."

canadian_cop"2002 VW Golf GL 195/65/15 These tires were factory on my vehicle. I checked the ratings on various sites and found them to be considered a decent tire. They handled well against my aggressive driving. That was for the first 7000 kms. These tires proved to be junk. Extremely excessive wear. It's pretty bad when the dealer is even confirming that the tires are junk. And when I was approached by a salesperson regarding a purchase of these tires....I almost couldn't stop laughing. $130 a tire...yeah right!!!!"

Anonymous"2000 A4 OEM Tire Put about 60K miles on these tires. Happy with the tread life. Comfort is good eve at high speeds. As is handling. Only complaint comes with snow traction. Have all wheel drive, so expected better control on snow. Tires have been replaced with Michelins, haven't had them long enough to compare."

Replaced at 50k kms on 2000 neon(shoulda done it sooner), replaced at 40k kms on 2002 Neon...LS must be short for LouSy..."

J Collins"Just took my 01 Stratus in to get new tires at 60k miles was told that I didn't need to replace them yet. Still have 80% of the tread left on them. Just wondering why my tires last 3 times as long as the reviews I have read. Maybe more people need to check their tire pressures and rotate more often. Have never owned a vechile with goodyear tires before. Will consider them in the future."

Molly Waters"These came standard on my 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix. I don't have a lot of experience with other cars, but I've been very happy with these tires overall. The handling is excellent in dry weather - although I don't know how much of that is the result of the car design itself. It's only after reading other online reviews that I realize I'm not the only one having some trouble in the snow or noticing road noise. Overall, the tires are good, but I'd be happier with a tire that handled snow better. Although, in my opinion, I think the tires deserve a better overall rating than what I'm seeing online. The original set lasted me 70K miles (the manufacturer warrantees them for 50K) - I just wish I hadn't been prompted to replace them as a result of the tread separating on one of the tires."

gino"We got nearly 50K miles on these tires (2002 Mercury Grand Marquis). Excellent tires. I rotate my own tires and check air pressure regularly. 6 years in police work with heavy crown vics, all had Goodyear Eagles: used and abused, tortured, over rail road tracks - great reliability and handled great under pressure, (albeit drifting predictably under hard cornering). Most problems I see on this internet review are from front-wheel drive car owners. FWD cars must have their tires rotated much more frequently than RWD. If I go to the snow, I take my 4x4 truck with mud terrain tires. This GY Eagle is for dry/wet pavement. If you want true performance, get Z-rated tires. For overall street driving, these are Great tires - loyal Goodyear Eagle customer."

john"These came stock w/ my 2002 Dakota quad. They were just "ok" up until 30,000 miles. After that I was scared to death of driving in wet conditions. I felt like I was driving on ice when it rained. Goodyear Eagle LS tires are horrible. "

OC Rod"OEM on my '00 Grand Marquis, Tires perform well. Can't figure out what all of the complaining is about. Maybe it's because people are using them on FWD cars and not rotating. For a RWD they are just fine."

Nan-C"I am not happy with these tires at all! They came on my 2001 PT Cruiser and after 25,000 miles of "gentle" driving, I was told I need new tires! The traction on wet roads is bad. I was told by the dealer that they were only rated for 30,000 miles but I don't know if this is true. I don't see anywhere on this site that tells me how many miles to expect from these tires? Is it so bad that they don't mention it?"

jarry"2002 mitsubishi galant gtz hands down, the crappiest tires i've ever had. They came as original equipment and as early as 25000 miles, they started to produce a loud noise, even at low speeds. at first, i thought the noise was caused by the brakes or something else and i spent a considerable sum just to determine what the culprit was. When it was determined that these tires caused the annoying noise, I had them replaced (at around 30,000 mi)with bridgestone potenzas and the problem was solved. handling, ride comfort and treadwear are also atrocious. Dan in Texas"205/55/16 paired with a Mazda 626 V6. So far the tires are confident and stable. Took almost NO weight to balance and feel very confident at high speeds. Extreamily quiet and smooth without giving up handling. Stable in the rain, dont get much snow here so cant coment on that!"

Northern Illinois"2001 Old’s Silhouette Premiere - this tire came on the car when new – and like many of the other reviews above – in the beginning I was pleased with the handling and performance. At 20k I started to notice the wet and snow traction was falling - tire noise is still very good. Now at 35k miles – they are losing their ability to hold a dry road! They look good – but the low mileage and poor performance in mid life would make me buy them only of they were about ½ the price listed here – as you are going to get about half the life out of them you would expect. I am headed out today to buy a set of Michelin HydroEdge. I will pay $124 - $10 less than the Eagle LS."

Dr. Michael Brown"OEM on my 2000 Dodge Dakota. So, where do we begin? How about with the fact these pieces of fecal material have poor traction on dry pavement and no discernable traction on even damp roadways. To rate their traction in snow, one would need need the availability of a ranking option below "Poor" - "NONE" comes immediately to mind. These are the worst tires I have ever slid down the highway on - literally! What they lack in driving characteristics, they more than make up for with lousy treadwear. Do expect more than 35K carefully driven miles out of these tires. Actually, under the circumstances, poor treadwear may be viewed as a plus with these tires - afterall, you won't have them long before you will not feel guilty about throwing them away and installing a set of Michelins. James"My 2000 Mitsu Galant came with these tires and after about 50k, has to replace them as they are easily worn out and do not offer good traction control during rainy days. Also skid on wet pavement and a little noisy. "
