K. Lee"Installed on a 01 Corolla S, replacing "awful" Michelin MX-4's. Very, very smooth tire, "beefier" in design and feel. TBA for winter traction but can't be any worse than the MX-4's. Have been very happy with other Michelin's in the past, MXV4 and X-One."

Anonymous"I enjoy the responsiveness of My Contour SE. The Factory original Firestone Firehawks tread separated at 20000 Mi. I should have replaced them with Michelin X Ones but deceided to try the new Hankook 707 Mileage plus with 100000 mile treadwear guarantee. They wore out at 32000 Mi. While they had great traction and responsiveness they gave a teeth jarring ride. I just installed Michelin HydroEdge tires and can't get the grin off my face. The car rides like a cloud. I can barely feel pavement cracks now. The tires are responsive, quiet and have good traction. I have not driven in wet or winter conditions so will report about that later."

Rich Z in Florida"1999 Honda Accord Ex (6 Cyd), bought these based on recommendations on this web page. Would not recommend them if tire noise is important to you. Dealer had customer sat. guarantee and I returned them in exchange for Pilot XGT H4s, which are much quieter. Hydroedge exhibited almost a snow tire level whine above 45 mpg, big ditraction at freeway speeds. Dry handling was fine, braking fine. Might be a good light truck tire but not for late model sedans. Also, may be a good northern tier tire but look for something else in the southern half of the country. "

Anonymous"I am confused. Others claim these are nosiy tires. I have them on a Odyssey and they are very quiet and ride quality is great. My experiance with tires are eagle GT's, Firestone affinty's, Aquatread III's, MXV4-Plus, a few different types of Pirelli's and a dozen or so different types of C rated tires. So far these are the best tires I have ever owned. Have to wait on snow and tread wear. 12,000 miles of driving no visible wear yet."

WillyB"Fabulous tires! From these and other reviews, it appears that the noise issue is very much car-specific. Or it could be a matter of expectations - few tires are truly quiet."

Jay"Installed on my 2001 Volvo V70 T5, what a difference. The ride is much improved with no more road noise to speak of. Wet traction is excellant."

Anonymous"These tires are excellent. I had a set installed on a 2001 Buick LeSabre and the wet road traction, handling and ride are excellent. They also have a very good on centerline steering response/feeling. Haven't had an opportunity to check them out in snow, but based on the wet road traction, they should be good."

Davey"Replaced Good Year tires with Michelin HydroEdge on my 99 Cadillac Seville STS - BIG difference. Ride is smooth and quiet at anywhere from 0-160km/hr. Traction is amazing - my car sticks when cornering. When im stopped at at traffic light, the V8 Northstar engine can't even spin out my new tires when I slam on the gas pedal. Looking forward to see how these tires handle in the rain and snow. So far, excellent."

SE MI"99 Passat V6 5spd: Mounted 205/60/15 HydroEdges on stock 15" wheels as "winter" tires. Only a couple hundred miles thus far, but enough to conclude that these are a fine "80%" tire: great in wet, ok for noise & comfort (they sing around 40 - 45 mph, worse on some roads than others), very quick initial steering response, but not up to the 16" ("Hi Perf") tires had been running for overall traction / handling. (Note that they are still much better than the 196/65/15 Mich. Energys that came as stock.) Will have to wait until it snows to see whether or not they really make it as "winter" tires - slush and wet roads are more common here than Real Snow - and, of course, tread life won't be know for some time to come (hopefully!).
