Let me start by saying that when I bought these tires, treadwear, wet, snow, were not factors at all for me as I don't drive the car in wet conditions, don't drive it in winter, and besides these are strictly summer tires only and becasue the car is mostly a garage queen, though not by choice life gets in the way so not much time for it sometimes, treadwear was also not important becasue the tires will get dry rotted and hard before they wear out with the amount of kilometers I put on it in a year. This was exactly the scenario with my original BFG Comp T/A tires. I wanted an excellent tire for dry conditions that would handle exceptionally well and stick to the road and these S.Drives have come through with flying colors. I read the reviews about them being noisy but mine are absolutely quiet.Yes they are still new but some guys were saying that they were noisy even new, well that's not my case. And not only do I have no noise they ride great too. Others have said that as the tire ages and wears down they get noisy, can't comment on that now but I think the problem might be not being religious enough about the tire pressures over time and/or aliment being out of whack and that causes cupping and uneven wear which leads to noise. Also not rotating the tires in time. My factory recommendation for tire pressure is 30 psi front and back but I've got these tires set to 34psi and will be checking them periodically and rotating tires. And the price was also great for performance tires like these. At this time I'm very happy with them, and hoping it will continue into the future before replacement is needed again.
