After extensive research for my 4x4 SUV, I decided on these and I couldn't be happier. My vehicle originally had a set of Michelin MS tires. I had no issue with them, but bought my car used and the tread was already fairly low, so it was time to replace them. I moved to Northern CA and do a lot of fishing and live around Mt. Shasta and Lassen where there's snowy terrain. I've driven rocky river banks and watched trucks twice my size get stuck. I also wanted something that would be comfortable for frequent highway driving along I-5, but also would be a little more rugged than the original Michelin MS. For the amount of tread on this tire, I can't tell a difference between them and my Michelin's, which are known for being quiet and smooth riding. These are quiet, comfortable and thus far, I've never had a lapse in handling. I simply feel safe with these. I keep them at 36psi which suits my all-around needs. I took them into the snow on a vacation in February and the traction held up great. I spent months researching tires. The reviews on this tire hold up and without hesitation I'd purchase another set.
