 Cooper ZEON RS3-A

Everything about these tires as far as the drive goes is outstanding; wet grip, dry grip, handling, comfort, ride, noise, etc. However, these tires have a high rolling resistance which dropped my gas mileage about 15% upon installation. A show stopper. I don't know if its my specific car, but there are other reviews on Consumer Reports and acurazine.com where people are complaining about the same problem with these tires. Too bad though as I'm gonna go through a couple more tankfuls of gas to see if anything changes. If not, I'm going to take advantage of Cooper's 45 day trial period and upgrade to the Michelin AS/3's.

 Achilles ATR Sport

I have my car set up with A-Spec suspension which makes it a bit rougher. I used to buy Michelin, Pirelli etc. When I could not afford these brands any longer, I looked at the Achilles ATR Sport in 245/40/18. I will say that I was skeptical at first. I can say that for the money I spent on these tires, they have nothing to envy the higher cost and brand name tires out there. I am on my third set, and still have not found a reason to change! outstanding grip in dry and very good in wet. Excellent cornering, and that is something I love to do in my car! Very good tread life and quiet! As I said, for what I pay for these tires, the performance and service they give in return is outstanding!

 Toyo Extensa HP

Overall its an OK tire for the price. Found the tire to get really noisy as the tread worn. They were quiet for the first 10000kms...but after that ..they just got louder and louder. Dry traction was good, but wet was just okay. Thought they would behave better in the rain...but found it to hydroplane or skid during acceleration. Treadwear was definitely a disappointment.....thought I would get more than 2 summers out of these...but only lasted 25000km. I do mainly hwy driving too and i'm not an agreesive driver or constantly brake hard. Always monitored tire pressure and rotated them...but found my car chewing the tread out of these quickly. I wouldn't buy these again....there a lot of other tires out there that perform 10X better.

 Yokohama AVID ENVigor

absolutely horrible in the snow - decent in dry weather and rain. Not sure if its my bad luck or bad tire, but 5 flats in two years - normal city driving. seem to have no tolerance for road inconsistencies. Would not buy these tires again - the stock micehelins i head were a thousand times better.
