 Hankook Winter i-cept evo

Horrible tires. In dry or wet conditions: no problems. Noise level and wear are excellent for a winter tire. These tires do not function in snow. Handling in snow is non existent. If you are looking for a cheap quite snow tire these are ok. I was looking for performace in snow "winter" conditions. This is for a performance car that comes out on a sunny dry winter day, that is all.

 Nexen N5000

Never Buy Nexen - Purchased 2 Nexen N5000 in 2010 and another 2 in 2011. Three of the 4 tires split with large 10" cracks half way up the sidewalls with less than 20,000 miles on them. Nexen makes it almost impossible to get any type of satisfaction from their "so-ca;;ed" warranty.. They kept me jumping through hoops telling me to get a written statement at a tire store,- which I did. Two stores found the tires to be defective due to dry rot. Then they told me to take photos of the damage area along with tread measurements - which I did. The tread was still 6/32nd. Then I bought 4 new tires (NOT Nexen) Then they told me they needed photos of the entire tread area, not just the damaged area - this was after I had already bought the new tires. Then they told me I need to mail all the information in with the original tire receipt. They would not accept the tire stores assessment. They trust no one to visually inspect the tires but make the customer mail everything to them in California. Terrible customer service. I would never purchase Nexen again.

 Falken FK-452

I decided to buy these tires after my Michelin Pilot Primacy tires wore out and it was a huge let down, don't get me wrong these tires are NOT in the same category as Michelin tires but i expected tread life above 19,000miles. My last two set of tires got 51,000 and 46,000 , these didn't even get half!!!!!!!! They get noisy around 60mph and you kinda just tune them out like a jet engine on a plane ride. If you Drive a IS300 you have to be picky with your tires because this car will just chew them up. Dry handling was good, but the tire would roll some times while cornering which means a soft sidewall. The wet traction was pretty good. I never drove these in the snow, but since they are summer tires i don't think they would do well. Handling was hit and miss, never anything consistent. The ride was rough, you pretty much feel the road, like most HP tires. Did not like the noise and wear. I had my tires rotated every 5,000 miles and i did the alignment and the tires still feathered and wore out inside. I had my shocks and struts checked 3 different times at three different locations and they were still good. I'm gonna try Bridgestone Ponteza RE760's or the Conti-procontact and see how they do. Don't Buy these if you own an IS300.
