Running this tire since Aug '13 - dry/wet grip is excellent, sidewall feels firm, not soft like OEM Michelins. Treadwear is not evident at this point and looks like new. Passable for light snow/slush but not great once snow accumulates and/or road is even moderately icy. May still have to get dedicated winters set next season but this is great alternative to summer only tire considering level of grip and potential wear and can be used much earlier/later in season so not wearing out snow tire prematurely. Is any tire really perfect anyway???
Great tires on pavement, mediocre in rain...Absolutely terrible in snow... if there is a tiny bit of ice on the ground, Iwork from home. most of these reviews say they dont know about snow handling and rate snow 3 or 4 which is too high!
Bought these tires recently for my car. Debated between these and the Kumho Ecsta ASX tires. Went with these because the price was a bit cheaper. Replaced my old very worn Michelin MXM4, which lasted a while, but was subpar in all other respects (handling, noise, adverse condition traction, and most of all comfort). So far these Hankooks are better in all respects. They were inexpensive. They transformed the handling of the car, can take corners much more confidently. Braking and wet performance was also very good. The tires are also relatively quiet. The comfort is pretty good but it does ride a little hard. Have not had a chance to test out treadwear, but overall I'm very happy. I gave it 5/5 in snow and 5/5 in treadwear although they have not been tested.
