Pretty decent set of tires, I got them toward the end of summer and planned on using them in the summer months for a few years (I live in the mountains of PA with harsh winters). They preform great overall and are surprisingly just as good in the rain as on dry pavement. However, the tires have now been on for a little less than 8,000 miles, and so far I have rotated them once. They are now completely worn past the wear bars, the wear is even so I ruled out an alignment issue and took them to the dealer where I had them installed and the owner agreed that they were wearing quickly. Luckily they came with a 20,000 mile warranty so they will be getting replaced when spring comes around. Overall, the performance of the tires was great but the longevity, not so much.
Fantastic tire and I am very satisfied. Considering they are only $150ish each, I am amazed at the performance in the dry. On my Legacy GT I am unable to break the tires free from their grip on a launch and was able to take a fairly midsize 90 degree corner at 110km/h before just barely finding the limit of the tires in the dry. In the wet the tires have performed well so far and I cannot think of a time where they slid under braking or spun on acceleration but I felt far less confident on them. Road noise is not a problem unless on a bad quality road and comfort is not noticeably good or bad for a low profile tire. I have not used them in snow yet and have not owned them long enough to comment on treadwear. One thing I would note is that I have them stretched slightly (225 on a 8.75 rim) and whereas some tires this size would not look stretched on this size rim, these ones have more of a stretch than I would like.
When I first got them, it was a little slippery on wet pavement for about the first 100km of driving. After it was a lot better. Some say that if its brand new, there's a protection film on it which needs to wear down a bit.
The first season of driving, I was able to move around in the snow really well. I drive people around so I'm glad I got these. They are snow tires so the sidewalls are soft so handling wise, the car does sway. The treadwear isn't the greatest so after a couple of seasons, it does get a little slippery. I don't use them all year as I have summer tires that I switch to once the temperature goes up.
