So I haven't driven with these tires in snow yet, but if they are as good in snow as they are in rain then they will be amazing snow tires!! They instill confidence while driving, especially in the rain. Only problem I find is that they wear quite quickly, especially with spirited driving in the dry. So far they seem like the perfect tire for our Vancouver weather that gets lots of rain and some times a little snow! I looked for a long time for a set of good performance tires what would work well in Vancouver's winter climate, after reading a lot reviews I truly believe I found a winner with these tires.
I purchased these tires because they had good reviews and they were all season tires. However as I have learned in December as the snow started to fall here in Colorado there tires are FAR from all season and are actually dangerous in the snow and ice. I have never felt so unsafe driving in winter conditions as I have with these tires on. Despite being and seasoned winter driver and driving conservatively I have gone off the road and slid into intersections several times with these tires. I am currently at a tire store getting snow tires on so that I can feel safe and secure getting back into my car. Having recently purchased new tires This summer I did not expect to spend another $500+ On new tires yet here I am because the Bridgestone potenza "all-season" tires have been so unsafe in the snow. I have never purchased snow tires previously as I have always felt safe and had stability with previous all season tires. I always take other reviews with a grain of salt but please reconsider buying these tires if you expect even one snow flake to fly where you live. Hopefully the company will reconsider labeling these all season tires as they clearly are not!
Also of note I submitted this review directly to the bridgestone website but they returned it to me stating that it did not meet their "guidelines". Maybe they just do not want this review published?
I am running these on my 2006 Subaru Impreza. I previously had Yokohama IG20s. The Hankooks are nowhere near as good in snow. I am quite disappointed, as the salesman told me these were a better tire. They are quieter than the Yokohamas, but I'd rather have the traction.
