These tires are quite slippery when cornered downhill. Competitively Advan series offered more grip while taking quick corners. These are exceptionally well off road, but affect acceleration on road, 0-60 times will be dragged. Fuel economy is hurt. Rolling resistance is higher. Yes, I understand, All terrain does offer more grip, and we need more force to move them, but slipping on corners is not acceptable in comparison to their sportier Advan selection. Horrible in wet condition to ever take a corner fast.
Bought the car used about a year and a half ago and these tires were on the vehicle. After putting another 20,000 on these tires I can't take the noise and vibration any longer. The tires have been properly rotated and the alignment has been checked. I can hardly stand to go on a long trip because of the noise these tire make especially on concrete roads. I just keep turning up the radio. I have decided to put a set of Michelin Defenders on the car this coming Saturday.
Only got 40 000km and because my dealers rotation policy is different than Toyo's they will not honour the 80 000 km warranty. A very expensive lesson learned. These tires must be rotated often or they will wear out very quickly especially if they are driven regularly on gravel. Will not be buying a second set : (
