This a great tire, BUT there is a major problem. I had eight (8) of these tires and they all developed bubbles. Some were from '09 and some were from '11. Actually I am stuck here in Omaha and will be at walmart tomorrow at 7 for a replacement so I can returned to California. Don't buy nor accept this tire even if you get the second set for free under warranty
These AVID TRZ are only good for slow drivers on dry roads. As soon as I drove them on 1 inch of fresh snow I knew I was in trouble. They also tend to free spin easily on wet roads at acceleration. Lucky that my minivan's traction control and ABS can bring back control. I am happy I'll be getting new snow tires next week.
Not good. The Avid TRZ is a 3-in-1 all season tire which means a bit of everything and really is good at nothing. In Vancouver, BC where we have a lot of wet days and light snow, my new AVID TRZ tires on my 2007 Honday Odyssey are quite disappointing. They are Ok on dry road, but slip easily on wet roads during acceleration up hills. My original stock Michelins were much better. I will never buy Yokohama again.
