These tires are really loud on a dry, smooth surface but off road they are the best I've ever had. On rocky surfaces you really need to dial down the air pressure.

 Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac

I do a lot of city driving but whenever i went off road and drove on mud or snow these tyres were great I fully recommend them! I am not sure on tread wear since they are quiet new (4 months). I was a little worried that they would be noisy for motorway use but they are better than I thought> .

 Bridgestone Dueler A-T Revo 2 (D696)

Finally wore out my original set of Dueler A/T's (NOT the REVO model) equipped at the dealer -- astounding 92,000 miles!! These tires have been awesome in all on-road and weather conditions including some sandy terrain off-roading. Never had a flat, treadwear has been awesome and even w/ fairly regular rotation (10k miles). Could probably reach 100k on my best two.
