These tires were installed by the dealership prior to selling the vehicle to me. After the first week of ownership I noticed the tires were vibrating at highway speeds. I took them to a reputable tire shop closer to home and had them balanced. The vibration was worse. I took it back and had them balanced two additional times. The last time was a high-speed on the vehicle balance. These tires still vibrate at highway speeds. The tire shop has concluded they are defective but cannot do anything about it because they were installed by the dealership. I will NEVER buy Cooper tires.
Replaced factory Dunlap's at 51,000 miles with the LTX M-S2's. I now have 158,000 on my 2007 4Runner. I just had a state inspection on the vehicle, and they estimated I still have a good 20K left on them. Simply the best tire I have ever owned. I had LTX 2's on my 1999 4Runner and put over 80k on them and they still had plenty of tread when I sold it.
I don't think there is a better tire on the road today.
Definitely the best and quietest all weather tire I have owned. They are not a mud or snow tire, but an all season tire and they perform well as such. They are pricey, but you get what you pay for. Can't go wrong with Michelin!
