Just took off my car almost brand new. 800.00, got 150.00 trade in. Bought the kuhmo Ha31, like night and day. Always had all seasons, never had problems in the snow, packed snow and ice with any tire worse then these. As one person said, drive these in winter, prepare to crash, or even die. They are winter death traps. Buy an all weather tire. Love the kuhmos, worth losing all that money to save my life and my wife's life. You have been warned. These tires are loud, rough and no good for anything but summer.
Recently bought a used car with brand new avid envigor tires, thought great new rubber. Drove the car home 600 Kim's in winter but roads were dry. We recently had a dump of 8 inches of snow. Took the car out and nearly killed myself, never had an all season perform so awful. Did some research to find everyone complained about the tire. I was seriously afraid to drive to the tire shop. Fast forward, dealer told me about this kuhmo Ha 31 tire, fairly new out, and thought I would like it. I researched but could not find many reviews like nokian wgr3 had. Went for it, gave up 800.00 worth of tires to get 150.00 credit towards new tires. My car has gone from a death trap to a cat. I cannot even tell you in words the difference from driving to the tire shop on the envigors and leaving on the kuhmos. Snow was melting in places, other side roads frozen, I drove for 3 hours, turning, skidding, plowing, take off, I called back to the dealer to praise these tires and thank them for the recommendation. Time will tell on tread life but I don't care, I have a safe and confident car to drive. Love the tires, I cannot say enough. Thanks Kuhmo. Buy them, you won't believe the handling.
Bought these tires in the spring of 2015 to replace the Continentals that came with the car. Traditionally I bought Michelin or Bridgestone but took a chance based on a recommendation by my car dealer. I find my car rides like a new car. It is smoother, quieter, has better handling both dry and especially wet. I also found my gas mileage improved about 7-10%. So extremely happy with this tire. Looking to replace the Dunlops on my 2012 Rogue with these tires.
I haven't driven them in the snow as I use dedicated snow tires but a friend uses them with great success.
Highly recommend this tire.
I just replaced these tires after only 18 months. The noise was so loud and vibration so bad I could hardly think. I mounted these on some 350z OEM rims. The first 8,000 miles were great but after that it was all downhill. I loved the handling, and they were very good in wet conditions. Snow was just ok. If you're getting these you MUST make sure your alignment is perfect on all 4 wheels. They will wear on the edges very quickly if you're not careful. Too much money for the wear rate on these.
Have had these 14 months. Haven't driven in snow, so can't rate there. My complaint is the tread wear. My car is a sedan, an automatic, and I am in my 50's and female, so I don't think I'm out "scratchin' off". Anyway, I was recently told by my mechanic that two of the four have only 10 percent tread wear. They were rotated once so far and the two that were originally on the front are worn the most. I have not have alignment or suspension problems. Have just emailed Yokohama regarding warranty and credit for a tire with maybe 15K on it which has 10% tread left. This was supposed to be a 80K tire.
