Best all around tire I've ever owned in 30 years. We are undergoing a relative hard winter and the tires have shined in snow and ice. In the summer they did not show any faults. Treadwear is a bit unknown as they are still pretty new but not expecting anything out of the ordinary. Highly recommend.
Much better than the Michelin A/S, steering is responsive. The P7 is very quiet and smooth running tire, heavy rain and snow cornered well ,very happy with these tires. I am very experienced driver so hopefully this helps someone else out.
Purchased a set of these because my snow tires got busted by a pot hole. They handle just fine in the snow. Way better than my Yokohama Avid Envigors, but not as good as my Toyo Snowprox.
These aren't true winter tires, but they handle way better compared to some of the crappy performance A/S tires by Sumitomo, Yokohama, or Hankook Ventus. I was able to drive through 3" of snow in a parking lot without spinning the tires like I did with the Yokos.
Cannot give a rating for treadwear since these are brand new, but the rubber is soft so I don't expect to see more than 20-30k miles out of them. Not bad considering its an A/S UHP tire.
Only issue that bugs me is that these tires are MADE IN CHINA. Hopefully Cooper has high quality standards. Road noise is present but its expected when talking about these "lower end" tires. If you want something quiet you buy tires from a premium maker.
I've had these tires over four years and 40,000 miles on my STI and they are amazing. They grip well during acceleration, turning and braking, are very quiet, ride nicely and have outstanding wear characteristics. I rotate them every 2500 miles and expect to get a total of 45-50k miles from them. I want to buy another set when this one needs replaced. I can't speak for their snow rating since my experience in snow with them is minimal. However, in the very limited show exposure I've had with them they seemed ok, not great like a narrower, deeper tread tire.
I normally don't take the time to rate things online but this tire has blown me away. I bought this tire for my 2008 Subaru WRX and it lasted me 4 winters. I could even probably go for another winter but I'm going to buy a new set this month. This tire has incredible grip!! They really make it feel like you are driving on pavement and not snow/ice. The life-span of these tires are also incredible. I bought my set in November 2008 and ran them for 4 winters with no problem. I highly recommend buying these tires. If I had to say one negative thing about them it would be the road noise - but that's to be expected from a winter tire.
My first set of aftermarket rims and tires, and these have been a breeze. They're not any louder or rougher than ny other tire I've owned. Half the time I forget they're there, and with these I saved at least 86$/tire over the local shop, and that was for their poorly rated no-name brand.
Only thing I noticed was on this website they had the tire listed as winter capable or something. You can clearly tell by looking at the tread design that these would in no way be good for winter, so that's definitely a typo.
Wet highway driving I have more confidence about resisting hydroplaniny than any other tire I've owned.
Highly recommended for summer tires only.
Put these tires on brand new in Nov '11 but no snow until after Dec 25th.
The Toyos offer a lot of grip, as I did a couple of clutch drops (in a safe area) from 2k to 2.5k with just a little chirp and then nothing but grip.
Did another test with on ice with the same results.
The tires are reasonably quiet compared to Michelins used on the 2nd car.
I would recommend these tires.
