I bought 4 new Grabber AT2 tires in the summer of 2013. I love them. Super aggressive tire. They go everywhere and anywhere I want.
I November 2013 (approx. 8,000km) I noticed the tread was lifting upwards against the forward rotation on the passenger tire. The driver’s side and back tires were fine. I took it back to the dealer who said they’ve seen a few cases of this and the main cause was poor wheel alignment. They checked the alignment and whatever else to make sure this wasn’t the problem and agreed the tire was defective.
It took a month to get a replacement tire. Within a month it had lifted so high it was affecting the steering and I had to replace it with my spare while I waited for a replacement tire.
I kept checking the tires right up to the middle of summer and they seemed fine. I just checked again (approx 26,000km) and it is happening again to both front tires.
Has anyone had similar problems with these tires? Does anyone have any idea why this is happening?
