I've had this tire for two years now and I only run them in the cold months due to premature wear. I find these are 5 star in the snow and ice and found myself easily passing vehicles that were stuck or spinning out. My car has all wheel drive which makes it pretty good but when I put these tires on I found the grip was incredible under power and braking. I wouldn't recommend driving these in the summer time because of the soft rubber. It's a positive in the winter but once it becomes hot they would wear out a bit quicker. I would definitely buy these again. Handling was ok, its what I would expect from a snow tire.
I haven't really paid all that much attention to the tire performance on dry days but the rest seems to be working really well.
The tire is much quieter than the winter tires I had on it but I can't comment on how they compare to the all-seasons because it has been a whole season - that's why I gave it a 4/5...seems good but I'm not really informed.
The treadwear is something that I can't comment on as I just had them put on.
FYI: 1010tires.com was a very good company to deal with. They were organized and accommodated me on some tough scheduling and they also took back the tire covers when I accidentally ordered them. Might seem like simple things but I noticed and thought I'd mention them.
I have these on my Acura MDX in Telluride. In snow, and ice, this tire is incredible, sure footed, and can handle deep snow, slush, and ice very well. Because it is a pure winter tire, there is a little bit of tread squirm in dry weather, but other than that obvious fact, this is a great tire. The reason for the low mileage is due to the fact that the MDX is only used while we are in Telluride on vacation.
