These came OEM on my 2010 Camaro SS and having never driven on Pirellis I was skeptical for what they retailed for. They are strictly a summer tire, as my rating of 1/5 (I'd give 0/5 if I could) states that in any climate under 40*F with the tires matching ambient temp they will turn to stone and handle like well.. crap.
But at least they aren't Trofeo R or the Goodyears on the uptrim 1LE, ZL1, and Z28. Those have no chance under 65*F. But I digress.
They're an all around good tire, with good dry and wet handling if being used on a milder car. My Camaro? Wet pavement and wet tires will put me sideways with a blip of the throttle at the wrong time. Dry pavement, they hood hard and you have to actively be pushing the tire to it's limits before it'll break loose, which if you read your car you can feel the tires reaching their limit well before they kick out from under you.
Would I buy them again? Yeah, if I had the money. But for 1200 bucks a set I'd rather go back to a BFG or Goodyear tire that I can thrash without breaking the bank. What can I say? I love doing a good burnout and these tires are too expensive to burn off my rim! Kudos to US domestics for going to this brand as an OEM.
