 Toyo Versado CUV

I've only got about 2000 KM on these tires and so far I'm very pleased with them. Extremely quiet and great smooth ride. Can't comment on wet driving as I haven't driven rain or snow since we didn't have any yet as it's only september. But I bought them after reading reviews from other people that for all season tires they were actually very good in the snow. As for treadwear as I've mentioned I only have about 2000 KM on them so right now that's a moot point.

 Toyo Observe GSi-5

I was thinking that I finally found my dream winter tires after reading so many positive reviews here. But actually the experience was not really impressive. Especially after 8,000km, the situation was getting worse. No much traction on light snow, antilock brake engaging the time (even at a very low speed), barely stopping at traffic lights or on turns. Seriously thinking to dump these $1000 + tires into trash. A side note: find a similar review with same size of tires. Probably it is all about tire size ?!

 Hankook RW11 i-Pike

Have been running these Hankooks on my Ford Escape AWD for two winters now and can positively say that in 20 years of driving in Western Washington and BC, Canada during icy winters --- these studded tires are the best I've ever had and though they weren't a bargain, they didn't break the bank for us either. During my commute I drive through foothills that have many ups and downs, often icy ( a few times snowy) terrain and then on flat icy, and snowy open valley roads with lots of wind. The SUV handles flawlessly while others are in the ditch. We'll be putting them on our new Chevy Traverse this week also. Whether it be slush, ice, or snow - these handle better than anything else I've had in the same dollar range.

 General Altimax Arctic

FWD Escape. Snows on all 4 wheels. Very steep driveway. A lot of snow this Winter(2013-2014) in Northwest Conn. Have made it up my snowy driveway every time ( a few inches of packed down snow) . Last year I had Michelin all seasons but had to leave the Escape at the bottom of the drive a few times. So far I am very pleased with my General Altimax Arctics. Good price Too! Joe T.
