I have had these on my Subaru Legacy for two months. I have gone through 3 snowstorms of 2" to 4" each. Extreme cold with fluffy snow, packed and ice. I must say I'm extremely impressed. I know the car itself is known for being the best (for awd sedan) but the fact I can stop on a dime, corner and easily and confidently stop on hills and restart without or with minimal slippage is wonderful. Must attribute a lot of it to the tires. Again, I only have about 1500 miles on them, but owning trucks and other awd vehicles, I must say for the price, you can keep the blizzaks and nokian tires!
END OF LIFE REVIEW: These are at the end of their life, but still good for the dry and rain and light slush, but I think it will be possibly dangerous for any snowfall. I'm at 4.5 mm tread depth. They aren't quiet, but not noisy either. Driving on a Subie Legacy 3.6R AWD, 98W's. Best winters I have *ever* had. I want the same again, but they are so expensive now. They aren't great in deeper snow, and are just typical for braking in snow, but in the dry, or the shallow snow, or the slush or the rain, they just rule everything. The handling was to die for, and like a summer tire. I would write these tires a love song. I can't believe how long the treads lasted (finished 5 winters, and had to used them for the final summer!), but after 3 seasons, the compound got a bit dryer, and wasn't as sticky as when newer, but still good. Also handles surprisingly well on unusually warm days, without feeling too squishy. If you don't encounter a lot of deep snow, and find these on sale and your car has *good* AWD, and you aren't OCD over road silence, these have been an utter delight. I will miss them.
