I have put about 6000 km on these tires so far, They have handled everything really well, 6" deep mud while out in the bush getting to a fishing spot, loose sharp rocks on a mine site, I have even left them on the truck a bit longer to try them in the snow before switching to my winter tires. The Falkens have been the best "winter rated" AT tire I have tried so far, ( our work trucks all have BFG AT, GY Duratracs, and General Grabbers). Mind you they are no substitute for a dedicated winter tire, but they do work really well on snow and ice.
Price point was good, so far I'm happy with them, haven't had them in the snow yet, so we'll have to see. Only 5,000km on them so far, noise isn't that bad for a M/T, interested in seeing what kind of mileage I get out of them.
love these tires. Currently at discount tire getting my second set. I have 70,000 miles on the set I currently have and they still have descent tread for having 15,000 more miles than they are rated for. I have my own construction business and pull trailers about 40% of the time and have never had any issues. Would highly recommend these tires for on and off road use
Good summer tire and even pretty good in snow and ice. Where this tire falls short is in the rain. The tire doesn't seem to hydroplane but it doesn't have a lot of grip when there is a lite mist or standing water.
Tires worked great for first 20K miles and they still ride just fine on pavement. However, I noticed abnormal wear on the edge of the tread, both inside and outside of all 4 tires. Tire pressure and alignment checked regularly w/ no problems and rotated regularly. After 25K miles, they're basically highway tires with absolutely no bite on the edges, no longer very useful for dealing with slick, muddy areas. The retailer refused to replace the tires since the center-line tread depths are within the expected range despite no bite on the edges. Bottom line: I should have paid more attention at purchase time. Had I noticed that the tread depth in the cleats along the edges was only half of the inner tread depth, I undoubtedly would have chosen a different tire. The set of 4 I have are unlikely to make it to the touted 50K miles.
I live in Northern Michigan and have snow 5 months out of the year. These are a liability in the snow. The are fine on the road, highway dirt roads etc. But if there is snow or ice then look else where and get a snow rated tire.
They wear way early too. I am at 37K miles of mostly road travel and they have 8-10K left on them.
Excellent road tire. Will get at least 50,000 miles out of them. However, they may be the worst off road tire I've ever had. TERRIBLE in muddy or any slick off road conditions. No grip whatsoever! Will replace with BF Goodrich A/T when these are worn out.
