I have used these tires since they first came out. To the guy who claims they have a bad wear pattern, take your car to the shop and have a professional align it. To those who complain they lost gas mileage, make sure your tires filled to the proper pressure. To those who complain about fast tread wear, if you drive on gravel roads, that is your problem/and or stop letting your kid drive the car. These tires are great even in snow, they have always done fine by me and I live in Montana, so I see my fair share of ice and snow covered roads. You want better traction in snow/ice, go buy snow studs or put chains on and learn to drive on ice and snow. I do know flaws do happen, but a lot of these bad reviews are more than likely from just people wanting a tire worth 500$ for 140$.
I am at 57k miles on these tires and I still got enough tread to get me through winter.
These came OEM on my Focus, only got 30K on them and they are just at 3/32, were loud since new. Dealer tried to correct one tire that is bad but would not replace by adding more weight, constant vibrations and oscillating noise which drives me nuts on my 60 mile daily commute. Loud music is the only solution.
My stock tires were the Michelin Pilot3 Summer tires; great in the summer and that is it and I knew that. I just got home from having these Coopers installed and finally--I can drive again in the winter. It's not a winter tire so don't expect it to handle like one. Of course you will spin your tires or trip the traction control if you give it too much gas on snow--common sense. Of course going to fast and taking corners in snow will lead to you sliding out--common sense. If you drive responsibly these tires will work great. As I write this it is 16 degrees outside and I have plenty of traction to move on snow, stop on snow and turn on snow. It's winter so I am driving like it is winter and these tires perform wonderfully. The noise and ride are much quieter and smoother than my stock summer tires--to be expected and I was not disappointed. This is my second set of Cooper tires in the Zeon line. First was on a Mazdaspeed3 about 4 years ago and they were great then, though slightly different from which tires I have now. Again, these are great tires as an all season performance tire. They aren't summer performance and they aren't winter tires either. If you don't expect extreme cases from them and get them knowing they are a best of both world's compromise then you won't be disappointed. I would buy these again (I did since this is my second pair of Zeon's) and I would and have recommended them as well.
