Have had Jeeps for forty years and had lots of tires, a whole bunch of them the All-Terrain A/T and they have been good tires. This is my first set of Mud Terrains and they are the worst I have ever driven on. They are loud, rough and now with 30,000 miles on them almost unbearable to ride on if not on a gravel road. Even had a reputable tire company person tell me that they were some of the worst that they sold; some of them coming into the shop sounded like a helicopter landing, they were so loud. Would not recommend them at all.
These tires are second worst I experienced in my life when it comes to wet conditions. This was not expected as they are sufficiently sipped. They break off fairly easy in the rain going from a stop and when stopping. The first time it happened I couldn't believe it, as it had been a long long time since I experienced something like that. For a light truck sidewall is a little too soft because in turns rear wheels don't feel that sure footed. On the flip side they are comfortable and quiet. The rubber is noticeably softer than performance tires on my wife's car, but the latter have no issues in the rain.
