Bought these for non-winter use in WI. I travel daily and drive 30K - 40K per year. They are mounted on factory wheels and used on my 2013 VW Sportwagen SE which I purchased new in Sept. 2013. I installed the Ohtsu tire/wheel combo after the snow was pretty much gone earlier this year.
Started well and I liked the tires but that deteriorated quickly. I have just over 8000 miles on them and they obviously have some kind internal separation going on. They have become so noisy I'll be removing them and using my stock 16" wheels and Hancook tires until I can replace them. My alignment is dead-on and the balance is fine. The tires are crap.
These tires are cheap and surprisingly good for the price. I bought them studded and so far they hold up great in our Canadian weather. I've had minimal loss of traction only in deep snow covered road. I'm a very aggresive driver and pushed them to 140 km/h on the highway and also tried aggresive cornering at 60 km/h with no issues at all. After one season of usage there is still plenty of thread left on them. The only downfall is that they're very noisy and not really comfortable to drive (like any studded tires). Overall, I would buy them again.
