Fantastic for my car. Mostly highway driving, good stability at highway speeds. I've had to dodge a few deer with some sudden hard turning, tires respond quick. Taking off-ramps 'spiritedly' is very tidy, not much sidewall roll, no squealing, they're just happy to stick and do it, and that's not easy for a heavy sedan. Very good at resisting hydroplaning on the highway.
Tread pattern leads me to believe that these would be horrible in winter, and I have no intentions of using as such.
Overall, they stick, rain or shine, noise is there but not annoying. I feel it's a fair trade.
Only complaint is for 1010 themselves. 3 were of one pattern, and 1 was slightly different, as if the pattern was slightly smaller.
The tires perform well in the winter although side walls are soft therefore quick turns feel a bit sloppy. I am nonethess happy with the purchase and have had a good experience driving in Alberta winters the past 2 years with these Falkens. I have put about 15000 Kms on the tires and the tread still appear new. I would buy again
These tires wore original equipment on my Honda and I had 42,000 miles on them when I replaced them and they were still not to the wear bars. I replaced them only because we get allot of snow and I did not want to push them through one more winter. The milage is amazing. I get 51mpg quite reguarly with my Hybrid which is above what is advertised for the vehicle. They are not a quiet tire but at the same time they are not the noisiest tire I have driven. I have been very impressed with the wear I got from the originals and I hope for the same on these.
This was my first experience with snow tires and I must say, I am truly blown away by the dry/wet/snow performance! On dry and wet pavement, this tire keeps my Accord planted with confidence, no hydroplaning in rain (even at speed >100 mph). I picked the Pirelli brand over the Michelin Alpine 4 because of the tread pattern and rating I saw on another website! My ONLY complaint is I picked the incorrect size; my ride's lowered on Eibach springs and minor dips causes a bit of rubbing in the front 😡. Hoping I can purchase a set in 235/40/18, for this coming winter! Almost forgot to elaborate on snow performance. Only lost control in snow when I turned a corner > 40 mph; almost hit the curb but was able to downshift to sport mode and steer myself out of trouble!
The General Altimax Arctic Snow Tire has been our go to brand & model for our last 4 vehicles and will continue to be our 1st choice going forward. We had used Bridgestone's Blizzack previously as a recommendation from fellow Honda dealer but when compaired to our General Altimax Arctic, the General wins hands down. We also have the General Altimax Arctic on our 2015 Honda Pilot which is AWD, but the added security on ice & snow covered roads is priceless !
I purchased a new 2014 Honda Accord EXL. It came standard with these wretched tires. It is nearly impossible to drive when even a light snowfall has occurred. The tires are noisy. I've had 4 Accords which all came standard with Michelin tires which were terrific. Shame on you you Honda for putting these lousy tires on your premium sedan.
