An excellent tire for what they're designed to do...winter driving. If you're driving them otherwise and complaining...don't blame the tire ! If you have a problem with them in light to medium snow traction, it's either your car or the nut that's holding the wheel !
The tires are very noisy and choppy on the highway and make the car sway a lot. The dry and wet grip is pretty average, especially for brand new tires while soft snow traction is ok. The ride has also gotten bumpier since I have put these on. The original tires on the car were also firestone all seasons. Worth mentioning that the snow grip doesn't seem as phenomenal though, maybe because my the the all seasons I was running previously were brand new as well.
I believe Firestones knows these problems and that is why it does not include winter tires in its 30 day try or return offer.
I live in Montreal, Canada and we have lot of snow and icy conditions. I was very disappointed with the traction of these tires in both snow and ice. I've had much better tires before. Next time I'll stick Good Year or BF Goodridge.
