I've owned these tires only 18 months, and I felt they were getting worn, so I took them to my shop for a rotation. This would have been the 2nd rotation. Lo and behold, the shop manager immediately told me the rears were already worn to the cable! I am not the kind of person who wants to change tires more than once every 3 years, so the treadwear was my biggest disappointment. Right from the get go, I felt these tires were not strong, too soft. I only give them average for handling. My previous tire was Hankook Ventus ES4's, and they were much stiffer, made the ride a little bucky, but they handled with extreme precision. I don't recommend these BF's at all unless you want a soft ride and don't mind the short tread life. (PS : they are not cheap, avg price.)

Confident, Experienced Driver
First of all, I'd like to say that I did not purchase these tires new. I traded wheels and tires with a buddy of mine when I first got my car. I put about 20,000 mi on these and had them for 2 yeras before I decided to get new tires.
I mainly used them for daily commuting but I did take a 2,500 mile road trip once. I live in western WA and we get alot of rain here. Considering these are summer tires I was really impressed. Though my car is AWD, I would constantly put these tires to the test on freeway off ramps and other hard corners. I was never once able to get them to slide. I can only recall one time that I hydroplaned a little while accelerating aggressively. It doesn't snow much in my area but I did drive in some snow a few times. As long as you're not trying to be Ken Block, these tires are not bad in the snow. They were good enough for my girlfriend (who is a less experience MT driver) when she had to make a 20 mile drive in snow.
These tires wore very little in the time I had them. In fact the only reason I bought new ones was because they were getting old and were starting to crack a bit. One of the tires got a screw in it and it ended up being un-repairable.
Overall, probably my favorite tires I've had to date. Great handling, great look, minimal tread wear, and the tread pattern looks great. I highly recommend these tires to anyone.

Confident, Experienced Driver
GREAT in the rain. If visibility hadn't been down to 150ft I would not have known I was in a monsoon. I was driving slower but they were MUCH better than the Pzeros I replaced. Ignore the idiots who gave it low marks for winter driving. THIS IS A SUMMER TIRE. WHY DO THESE PEOPLE HAVE COMPUTERS! Also, guys have been tracking these tires and like them. I have been AutoX racing them so far and they have not disappointed me.

Extreme (Racetrack style racing)
A note on longevity, these tires came on my car when I bought it, they were new with less than 300 miles on them. I put about 25,000 hard miles on them before they were done. Considering the low tread wear rating and my aggressive driving I was quite impressed to get this many miles from them.
As for the tire itself, up until about 15,000 miles they are very sticky and lateral traction is excellent. They would pick up these smallest stuff from the road, evident by the constant sound of rocking hitting the inside of the fender liner. The side wall is soft however, and gives in pretty quickly in hard cornering, so I wouldn't recommend these for a car with a tighter suspension set up as they own't do it justice.
However, they are very quiet on the road and easy soak up the smaller imperfections while still allowing you to feel that something was there. I don't have snow in my area soI cannot comment on that area.
