The Blizzak DM-V1 is the new standard for light truck and SUV winter tire performance. It has improved snow and ice performance over the tire it replaces, the Blizzak DM-Z3 through the use of a specific NanoPro-Tech rubber compound. The DM-V1's multi - Z pattern improves drainage of the tread and increases the amount of biting edges.

The Blizzak DM-V1 stands out from other winter tires due to its versatility. The new Tube Multi-Cell and NanoPro-Tech rubber compound help improve snow, ice, wet and dry performance by making the tire more flexible to changes in conditions.

  • RC Polymer - Improves snow and ice performance through use of specific NanoPro-Tech rubber compound
  • Center Multi-Z Pattern - Improves snow and ice traction by improving drainage and increasing the biting edges.
  • 3-D Sipes - Enhance dry performance while maintaining snow, ice and wet traction.
  • Continuous Lug - Enhances snow traction and water evacuation.

First set of winter tires, haven't had a lot of snow here on PEI this winter yet. Noisy on dry pavement, especially when you go over 70km/h. So far I can't tell if it has better grip than my OEM Goodyear all-seaons because we had less than 10cm of snow a few days ago and these performed no better than what I had on. Will rate again when we get more snow here on the east coast.

Best winter tire I ever had. After 4 winters and 44000km of smooth driving, they still have 9/32 thread depth. The original depth is 14/32.
