Original equipment on many high-performance vehicles, the Potenza RE050 is built for the pleasure of driving. This tire comes loaded with race-proven technology: UNI-T for outstanding wet and dry traction, a tread pattern that promotes rapid water evacuation, variable dimensions in the tread blocks, and the smoother shape to reduce road noise. An asymmetrical pattern in the RE050A tread increases surface contact to enhance acceleration and cornering. Put this Potenza through its paces and discover what ultra-high performance really means

These are the worst tires I have ever had, on any car I've owned, and I've owned many. I got them at Firestone, and Firestone typically has little in stock that's affordable, except the Bridgestone garbage that they sell. After they were first installed, they were great. But after one rotation, I noticed a loud noise coming from the right front tire. It was so loud, I thought my bearings were going out, or some other catastrophic failure that would cost more money to repair. It was just the one tire that had been on the rear, had worn unevenly, and all showed signs of cupping after less than 7k. They offered to switch two tires to put the noisy one back on the rear, but I said no. I listened to that god-awful noise until it was time to rotate again, thinking that after that, I'd get a quiet ride again. NOPE! It was just as noisy as the last time. The major chain garage I take it to (NOT Firestone) said the only thing to do would be to replace the one tire, if I thought it was that annoying (they assured me the tire was still safe to use), or wait to replace them all. I waited, and good riddance to these awful tires!

Needed new tires after only 16,000 miles. Not good in the snow or in heavy rain. Would not recommend these tires.

These tires get bubbles all the time. I have gone through 4 right front tires in 6 months thanks to small potholes. They are worthless in the snow. The tread wear is not very good either. Despite all of this they perform very well in dry. The cornering is great and handling amazing. The ride is good unless you hit bumps. The run flats obviously make for a rougher ride. I think they are overpriced and the tread wear is not very good. They also get bubbles very easily. I would say to not buy them as there are tires for less money with better tread wear that will perform just as well.
