The Cobra Radial G/T™ is Cooper´s all-season cosmetic performance tire that is targeted to buyers who prefer raised white-letter styling in an all-season tire. Available in a wide range of standard and low profile sizes, the Cobra G/T™ is especially popular with drivers of older domestic "muscle cars" who still want to retain the characteristic "look" of their vehicles.

  • Performance Tread. The void ratio in this performance radial has been re-distributed for increased tire-to-road contact which leads to improvements in tread wear and handling.
  • Even-Wearing Design. A notched, solid center rib, along with a refined tread element shape, helps provide even tread wear. Shoulder slotting is also designed for resistance to irregular wear while providing solid, all-season performance.
  • Quiet Ride. Pitch sequence has been optimized to reduce tread related tire noise for increased consumer riding comfort.
  • Sidewall and Size Options. Available in a full selection of popular sizes, this radial offers a unique, stylized, raised white letter sidewall to enhance vehicle appearance. The reverse side offers a serrated, black-letter look for a more subtle effect. Some sizes are available in black lettering only featuring a reversible option: stylized sidewall on one side and a traditional, smooth sidewall with standard lettering on the reverse.

A friend of mine has these tires and complains about these being slippery on wet pavement. On my advise he had them siped - about $100. He in very impressed with the improvement now on wet pavement. I did the same on Toyo touring some time ago and they ended up performing on wet pavement as good as dry pavement, believe it or not.

Had these tires installed 5 months ago (May '15) with an alignment done. 7000 miles since (including a 3000 trip) and wear on the fronts seems excessive. They have lost 1/3 of their tread depth! Always run them at 30-31 psi checked each week. I will give them praise for being quiet, comfortable and good in rain even at highway speed. But I will be very lucky to get half of the 50K miles Cooper claims before it will be time to replace them. Have not driven them in snow so I can not evaluate.

I've run these for two years now on my Firebird with no issues. They handle well; are nice and quiet and have a decent tread life even with hard cornering and aggressive starts every day. Braking and cornering is strong with just the right balance of control; these tires grip in dry weather with absolutely no complaints and will break loose only when you make them. They are a bit of a handful in wet weather if you're not careful but overall they hold their own well enough on a wet road. These are an excellent all-round spring/summer/fall tire just don't try and use them in cold weather. If you need a high performance 15" tire for a muscle or pony car you can't do much better than these.
