The Discoverer M+S™ is Cooper´s premium studdable winter SUV/Light truck tire designed for drivers looking for excellent traction on snow and ice. The Discoverer M+S™ line fits a wide range of SUVs and Light trucks, foreign and domestic.

  • Strategically-Placed Stud Pin Holes. Provide enhanced stud retention while delivering optimum traction on ice.
  • "D Squared" D2 Sipe Technology. A dense zig-zag sipe pattern further enhances winter performance while maintaining excellent wet traction. The sipes are deep to provide performance benefits throughout the life of the tire.
  • "Snow-Groove" Design Technology. Provides biting edges for excellent snow and ice traction without reducing tread element stiffness. Capitalizes on the higher traction characteristics of "snow on snow" versus "snow on rubber".

This truck was our hardware store delivery truck for the first 17 years of it's life and was used VERY little. The last 3 years it has been my daily driver to my storage facility. First winter I bought these Cooper tires and have been nothing but pleased with them. We have had gentle winters here in Lincoln, NE recently, but throw a couple sand bags in the bed and even with 2WD, it handles 8" of snow (the max we have had here) and ice with zero problems. When new tread depth was 15-16/32 and with probably 7K-8K miles on mainly dry pavement, including 1 3K trip, there is 11-12/32 remaining. With so many new Jeeps, Subies and other "family" AWD SUVs coming equipped with girly all-season tires these days, I leave many of them behind when accelerating.
