The RS3-A™ is the latest Ultra High Performance all-season tire within the Cooper performance family. This all-season performance tire provides the driver with a dynamic handling and inspires confidence and control.

  • Advanced Technology Mold Profile. Provides for a square tread footprint which means more tread-to-road contact.
  • Asymmetric Design. Allows for tread pattern tuning. This design allows for cross-rotation which reduces heal-toe wear, promotes even wear, less noise and increased overall read life. More rubber on the outboard tread pattern equals exceptional dry handling and traction. The large outside shoulder and intermediate tread elements increase handling, stability control and ultimate cornering ability. The offset shoulder-to-intermediate grooves and large intermediate tread elements are joined together for stable cornering and noise reduction. Laterally oriented shoulder grooves, uniform element geometry and chamfered edges resist irregular or rapid tread wear. The continuous, solid rib on the outside of the center row of tread elements increases steering response. The inboard tread pattern is optimized for wet and light snow conditions. Two, wide circumferential grooves channel water away from the tire for hydroplane resistance. Even wear is achieved by the laterally oriented shoulder grooves and uniform elements. Winter traction performance is aided by the technical sweeping elliptical groove.
  • 3-D Micro-Gauge Siping. Increases tread element stability, improves handling and tire control while reducing the possibility of stone retention. 3-D dimple sipes with interlocking geometry provide more sipe depth without sacrificing tread element stability. The 3-D dimple sipes are used in the center, intermediate and shoulder elements and provide increased length and more road biting edges as the pattern wears for maximum wet and light snow traction.
  • Silica Formulated Tread Compound. Designed for exceptional all-season driving performance.

Within the first year of purchase, the inside wall blew on highway driving resulting in an immediate flat. I had to purchase another Zeon to match...another $250. The road noise is constantly getting worse. I took my car to a mechanic to check the muffler, the bearings, and the tires and he blames the tires, stating they are down to the wear bars. I have 13,753 miles on these tires purchased 2 seasons ago for a car that is stored every Winter. This car is driven April to October. I am totally disgusted with the noise and wearability of these tires. Do not buy them! They are not worth the consideration.

1st off, I own a repair shop which sells and installs tires. I purchased a set of these 3 months ago for my shop loaner which I also daily drive when not on loan. It has optional 17 " wheels with 225/45/17's. At 1st I was impressed. They are excellent in the dry, decent in the wet etc. I put about 3k on them and then lent the car to a customer for 3 weeks while his car-also a NB TDI was being repaired. When I go the car back I was astonished to see that BOTH front tires were bald. The rears are more than 1/2 worn as well. The wear pattern is fine and the inflation pressure was 35 psi. He drove the car about 8K, he uses the car for work. So in 11k the front tires were gone. Now granted, they were never rotated and my customer drove it 8k while I only did 3. However, this same customer had a set of Pirelli P7's on their own NB which were rated at 70k and they got 70K. They now have Nexens with a 65k rating and it looks like he will see 65K. Both of these sets were rotated at 10K intervals. Bottom line? I went back to Nitto's which grip as well but wear far better. Not a good choice if you want reasonable tread wear.

These came OEM on my Focus, only got 30K on them and they are just at 3/32, were loud since new. Dealer tried to correct one tire that is bad but would not replace by adding more weight, constant vibrations and oscillating noise which drives me nuts on my 60 mile daily commute. Loud music is the only solution.

The BEST tires I have ever experienced. This is the 8th car I have owned and for every car, a different tire. By the way, the car is actually an 84 Camaro Z28 with a 700 horse Chevelle 350 in it and over 700 ft/lbs of torque... So the fact that I had complete control over it in almost any corner and at almost any speed was pretty impressive. The traction was unparalleled, and it would grip perfectly, only swinging out if I told it to. The engine was loud so I couldn't tell you with any certainty what the noise level was like, and I never got the chance to drive with them in snow. The tread life wasn't incredible, but they're a softer tire so, it's either great traction or great tire life (the regular burnouts probably didn't help either). The wet traction was incredible also, a little bit more slippage (and when I say a little, I mean exactly that), but I drive like a madman. Have to sell them with my rims but as soon as I can get this beast back on the road, I'm getting another set of these tires to go with it... They're the only ones I trust on it.
