The RS3-S™ is the latest Ultra High Performance summer tire within the Cooper performance family. Its low-profile, high performance rating combines world-class dry road traction, handling and cornering with outstanding appearance. The tread compounds are specifically formulated to combine dry and wet traction with crisp handling and high speed capabilities.

  • Advanced Technology Mold Profile. Provides for a square tread footprint which means more tread-to-road contact.
  • Asymmetric Design. Allows for tread pattern tuning. This design allows for cross-rotation which reduces heal-toe wear, promotes even wear, less noise and increased overall tread life. The outboard tread pattern is tuned for excellent dry handling and traction. The inboard of the pattern is optimized for wet weather conditions. Dual pitch sequence provides a low tread pattern noise. Increased grooves create more void on the inside of the tread pattern which helps maintain better wet performance.
  • Circumferential Grooves. Wide, circumferential grooves are positioned towards the inside of the tread pattern. This increases the size of the outside shoulder and the intermediate tread element rows which allows for more rubber on the outside of the pattern for ultimate dry traction, increased handling and exceptional cornering ability. The increased void and two circumferential grooves on the inside of the pattern channel water out of the tread for hydroplane resistance.
  • Silica Formulated Tread Compound. Silica formulated tread compound is designed for exceptional wet driving performance.

Pretty decent set of tires, I got them toward the end of summer and planned on using them in the summer months for a few years (I live in the mountains of PA with harsh winters). They preform great overall and are surprisingly just as good in the rain as on dry pavement. However, the tires have now been on for a little less than 8,000 miles, and so far I have rotated them once. They are now completely worn past the wear bars, the wear is even so I ruled out an alignment issue and took them to the dealer where I had them installed and the owner agreed that they were wearing quickly. Luckily they came with a 20,000 mile warranty so they will be getting replaced when spring comes around. Overall, the performance of the tires was great but the longevity, not so much.

Driven about 100 miles. Dry traction and cornering is awesome. My C5 has 385 horses. I find the grip when getting it on is great unlike others who have stated traction issues. A bit noisy but I typically drive with the top down, radio on and I am dead in my right ear so noise isn't an issue. I am pleased with purchase so far. Sorry I couldn't submit review without rating each category even though I have not driven in the rain and will never drive in snow.

Would not recommend this tire. Breaks away easily. Does not inspire confidence. Previous tires were Dunlop Star Specs. No comparison. Would not buy this tire again.

Having a 500 hp cobra I get zero traction. Even when making an easy turn at a stoplight. They are great looking tires and seem to wear quite nicely. However, if you're looking for a high performance tire with good grip I wouldn't recommend these.
