The ESPIA EPZ, Falken’s latest addition to the winter tire line up. It provides superb traction even in the harshest weather conditions. Specially designed canyon sipes and a fiberglassreinforced rubber compound allow the EPZ to “claw” the roughness of ice and stubbornness of snow in a non-studded alternative to the traditional winter tire. The new ESPIA EPZ is the perfect choice capable of conquering mother nature at her worst.

  • Offering both an “ice face” and “snow face,” through a Falken-patented dual tread pattern, which provides for a wider center tread and expanded lateral shoulder area grooves, improving overall grip on snow and ice.
  • Siping inside the block is composed of complex zigzag bodies which are angled and deep to allow the tread to flex and grab additional traction in every winter condition
  • An antiaging agent continues to seep from the base tread to fight ultra violet rays, as well as repeated bending. This enables the tire to work better, by controlling aging and maintaining the fundamental functions of a tire.

We have rough winters here in Quebec so I've had many set of tires over the years including Blizzaks, Michelin X-Ice, Toyo GO2 and many more. This year I planned to buy some Nokian Hakkapeliitta 8 but the price was nearly 900$ so I went with these. We just received our first snow and I can already tell they are pretty good for the money. I think they might be heavier compared to my stock all-seasons tires but it didn't affect handling too much. I would recommend them so far!

I have a Mercury Grand Marquis and recently was in a bind when a set of summer tires that were no longer in production had a fatel blow out in one . Since I couldn't get a replacement under my tire warranty I was in a bind and the tire dealer . I was having terrible traction problems in the first 5 inch snow of the year . With the space saver spare on I was afraid to even go to Wally World 30 miles away and fight it out for a replacement set for at least one axel you can't just mismatch tires on them and they wanted to give me one mismatched tire . So I bought just two of these for the rear of my car with a extra rim so I had these mounted on their own set and was rid of that space saver donut . I absolutely love them . They may not be the best if the first two negative reviewers are right but they work . I have at least double the grip in snow and ice . I have never used any other of these 45 degree and under tires so I can't compare to anything but my summer touring all season tires and the old mud and snows used pre 1995 . I am very happy . Considering buying two more rims for my car and running 4 of them but truly my car is moving through snow and ice at least 300% better and I am in control . Simple feathering the gas and the tires hook up and do not spin once underway . Tires are expensive now a days but where I was regretting having to be in a position to buy them I am sorry I didn't get them sooner . It took me a long time before I tried these new cold temperature super sticky tires . I am very pleased and have no problems recommending them though I have limited miles . The difference is amazing over the all seasons I had ( Bridgestone Turanzas ) on the rear before even with 2 still on the front . God Bless .
