OCOTILLO WELLS, CA (Mar. 12, 2010) – Last weekend marked the 48th annual Tierra Del Sol Desert Safari in Ocotillo Wells, CA, and Falken Tire’s first year as an event sponsor and supporter. Despite forecasts of inclement weather, enthusiasts in RV’s and Off Road vehicles were out in full force. Falken Tire was present with a compound complete with their trademark blue and teal scalloped Falken Motorsports rig as well as full vendor participation and R/C race track setup from HPI Racing.

Although there were high gusts early in the week, the winds died down Thursday allowing for Falken staff and enthusiasts alike to truly appreciate the terrain and vehicles. Falken gave its’ SEMA project Jeep JK a workout, equipped with Wildpeak A/T tires. Over the course of 4 days, the Falken Tire JK and Wildpeak A/T tires were put to the test, enduring all types of conditions from hard packed dirt to crumbling sand - these tires were able to conquer it all!

Just want to say, these tires are junk. I'm not a hard core 4wheeler but I do bring my truck in the woods. I bought the tires back in December for the snow coming soon thought I made a good buy but... The tires are junk, at the wear markets on all 4s after less then 6 months 20k for miles on them. They have little to no traction in the snow, my truck was all over the place this winter. In the mud they just do not perform, no traction and fill up turn into racing slicks. Light rain and water they are okay but any freezing rain or ice at all and your all done, forget about traction. Last but not least I just cannot believe how fast these tires wear, never seen anything like it in my life. I wouldn't recommend these tires to anyone. I did much better with the cheapo good year wrangler hp... High way tires. Completely disappointed and will never recommend or buy fallen anything. When you pay hard earned money you expect to get your money's worth witch these tires don't come close. If you would like to slip slide and crash your vehicle or go .2 mph in any snow then by all means buy these tires if not then start shopping and do your research because these aren't the tires for you

Worst tire I have ever owned. At highway speeds, they walk around and swerve to the point I could barely control it. Hydroplane from day one each time it rained I was scared to drive it. Horrible tread wear, very uneven and pretty well shot at 25,000 miles. Had a wreck today because of hydro planing. Do not buy this tire.

Tires worked well in all conditions. Big improvement in gas mileage, handling and road noise after replacing BFG AT's. Tread wore unevenly but that most likely due to ball joint issues.

So I had these tires now for two years and they were great when I first got them. After 10,000 miles something happened. Wet traction totally went away. I pressed has and wheels span and traction control had to kick in. It was beyond terrible. I would make a left after a rain fall and I was literally not moving till traction control would kick in, making it super dangerous. Initially snow traction was excellent too, but once again, something happened after 10k miles and I had almost no traction at all. So like with anything else, you get what you pay for.

Have had these on the tacoma for 38k miles. They worked well in snow and rain and handle great when dry. Very low noise. Tread wear could be a tad better but the tire is great for the price. I'll Be getting another pair this coming spring.
