Spirit of the All Season Performance Tire

Imagine an all season performance tire designed to offer true grip and increased traction that ultimately advances driver confidence whatever the weather condition. With the ZIEX ZE912, Falken has developed a tire with full-depth sipes encircling the tread, coupled with high-volume circumferential grooves and high angle variable cross grooves, that bring together the spirit of performance driving in all climates. When faced with wet conditions, the ZIEX ZE912 features increased hydroplane resistance and increased tread stability by evacuating water away, delivering improved grip composure, while its hybrid-asymmetric pattern produces better dry performance and genuine touring confidence during each and every season. The result is a tire that performs regardless of the condition of the road.

  • Hybrid-Asymmetric Pattern Design – Optimized inside and outside tread patterns to ensure all-season grip on demand
  • Infinite Sipe Sequence – Full-depth sipes throughout the entire tread platform creating biting edges that dramatically increase traction in all seasons
  • Rotation Wear Indicators (RWI) – Falken engineered visual cues that help the driver maximize tire life and overall tire value, prompting regular tire maintenance
  • Four High-Volume Circumferential Grooves – Designed to deliver increased hydroplane resistance and maximum stability in wet conditions
  • High Angle Variable Cross Grooves – In inclement weather conditions, these grooves effectively evacuate water away from the contact patch

there are rated all season but i would only use it in summer.I live in alberta, canada., when the temperature drops below 5 degree celcius i would take them off. your car becomes hockey puck on street. however in summer time. its an awesome, great grip wet and dry condition. when i get in for aggressive driving mood these tires are fun to drive! handles corner like a champ and got up to 220km on highway and it was great. it is noisy compare to winter tires but it is expected. if you dont mind some noise i highly recommend but again DO NOT drive in cold weather

I purchased these tires via Discount Tire Direct about 30 - 45 days ago. I was somewhat skeptical based on many negative comments about the tire's handling in snow. I live in Buffalo, NY and we have zero shortage of the cold white stuff. Granted, my vehicle is AWD, but we've been hit with a couple of decent snow storms since I've got the tires and I'm beyond impressed with the way they handle in the snow / slush / wet roads. If you're considering the tires for the same reason I did (price), they're well worth it in my opinion.

I put these on my GTI when the stock Dunlop AS were done. I chose these Falken's because they were on sale at Sears buy 3 get 1 free, and they have a 40k treadwear warranty. I had one replaced under road hazard when it bubbled from a DC pothole. In the summer, these tires are quieter than the Dunlops, but also have less grip on dry pavement. On wet pavement, they were average for 15k miles and now are significantly below average. In cold temps, these tires are terrible. In snow they are completely worthless. They should not be labeled as "all season." At 20 degrees they are as hard as a rock - you can't even get your thumbnail to leave an indent in the rubber at all. I have driven in 34 winters in my life in all kinds of vehicles with all kinds of tires and these tires are the worst cold/snow tires I have ever experienced.

Loved these on my Mazda in a plus size. Daily driven in Florida rains and New Hampshire summers, it loves curvy roads and long straights the same, brakes hard, grips hard, and laughs at the rain. Has control over 130mph at the track. Does not have grip below 40 degrees or on ice. Definitely a warm weather tire. When I was in NH with ~30 nights, I had to warm up the tires, sort of like F1, before they would get good grip.
