Spirit of the All Season Performance Tire
Imagine an all season performance tire designed to offer true grip and increased traction that ultimately advances driver confidence whatever the weather condition. With the ZIEX ZE912, Falken has developed a tire with full-depth sipes encircling the tread, coupled with high-volume circumferential grooves and high angle variable cross grooves, that bring together the spirit of performance driving in all climates. When faced with wet conditions, the ZIEX ZE912 features increased hydroplane resistance and increased tread stability by evacuating water away, delivering improved grip composure, while its hybrid-asymmetric pattern produces better dry performance and genuine touring confidence during each and every season. The result is a tire that performs regardless of the condition of the road.
- Hybrid-Asymmetric Pattern Design – Optimized inside and outside tread patterns to ensure all-season grip on demand
- Infinite Sipe Sequence – Full-depth sipes throughout the entire tread platform creating biting edges that dramatically increase traction in all seasons
- Rotation Wear Indicators (RWI) – Falken engineered visual cues that help the driver maximize tire life and overall tire value, prompting regular tire maintenance
- Four High-Volume Circumferential Grooves – Designed to deliver increased hydroplane resistance and maximum stability in wet conditions
- High Angle Variable Cross Grooves – In inclement weather conditions, these grooves effectively evacuate water away from the contact patch

After 5,000 kms tires keep breaking traction, even when driving moderately. Couldn't wait until they wear out before moving on so fitting Michelins PS3s this weekend. Makes a quick car fee slow.

These tires take a bit of heat before they start to grip on a dry road. The first few times I drove on them, and threw the car into a corner, the back end stepped out so agressively I thought I had lost air pressure in one of the rears. After a few days, I came to realize they need a few brisk corners to warm them up. Once uo to temp, they are OK in the dry. Decent ride. Not too noisy. They track really straight with minimal wandering.
The real noteworthy thing about these tires is how BAD they are in the wet. The slightest bump, painted line or change of pavement can result in wheelspin or a slide. And once sliding, they don't recover easily.
From a wet grip perspective, this tire is unacceptable. I have about 50-60% tread left, but I will be replacing them shortly with an RE760 or Conti DW

I don't understand the complaints about driving with 912s on snow. I grew up in Montana, then Colo, then Kansas. Most drivers are not good at any kind of foul weather driving. Either too aggressive or to timid. These tire are the best I have ever used on slick, snow packed roads. The ditches are full of the expert complainers who think tires help them stop or handle aggressive movements when the roads are rain swollen, or icy. The repair shops love you guys.if you can see the tracks in the water on the road from the guy in front, slow way down. Lord, try driving smart. Your manic driving in lousy conditions is a recipe for failure.

These were on the car when I purchased it used. First experience with this brand and am NOT a fan. Noisy, uneven wear, cutting and cupping even with regular rotations (alignment and bearings are fine). With 30-40% life remaining, hydroplaning is an issue over 40mph and in snow, well let's just say that you will be seeing that annoying dash light, "slipping tires" come on very often.
Will NOT be purchasing Falken Tires as replacements in the fall.
