Great snow traction with great control. You WILL get stuck on ice though. After a freezing rain in Vermont, I got stuck on a very icy parking lot, virtually flat. and managed to get out. But then uphill in the snow/ice, the car turned 90 degrees (at no speed) and I got stuck. :( Some noise on highway but bearable.

I've used these tires for two winter seasons in Northern New England, and absolutely love them. During the winter I drive on steep, curvy, snow-covered, icy, backcountry roads, and I feel like I'm driving a tank (actually a Honda Accord) with these tires. I can't tell you how many cars I've passed heading up steep access roads on my way to a snowy mountain. I'm heading into my third season with these tires, and they seem to be wearing well. The thread still looks solid, almost brand new on three of the four tires and good on one. They're a bit louder on dry roads than my all-season tires, but that's obviously to be expected. I highly recommend these winter tires.

Buying these tires was one of the best decisions I've made in years. I decided to put studs in them on all four corners and 4 winters later (!) they're STILL going strong with another 3-4 years left in them. The traction is absolutely amazing. With my all season tires the car will get stuck on dry pavement but with the Winterforce tires it'll plow through nearly anything. The only thing I have to worry about is snow so deep that the car will high center. That's in the 3 foot deep range or so. I watched me do it... I dinged the tires on handling, comfort, and noise but who cares. They're a bit mushy on dry roads, the studs make noise. They were designed to be a traction tire and in that regard they're well worth the money and then some. I bought them to get me HOME at the end of the day and they've done so flawlessly. When these finally wear out I'm absolutely buying another set.
