I drive back and forth from Vancouver, BC to Alberta for work twice a month and see every type of weather/road condition. Snow, ice, rain, sleet, slush, mud on the lease roads, sand, gravel etc etc. The Silent Armors do very well in most everything but deep mud and on ice. 4x4 and these tires in my 6000lb Tahoe makes deep snow a joke. Quiet and comfortable on the highway, handling isn't great but the nature of the vehicle has a lot to do with that. Bought the vehicle with about 80% tread and after 15,000km of driving there's no noticeable wear. Duratracs much better off road but wear quickly, BFG A/T's are worse in all respects. I'd buy another set.

Bought a set of 4 of these from Fountain Tire (11107 - 158 St, Edmonton, AB) and I am not impressed. First, the tire itself does not handle well in snow. Living in Edmonton, snow is here 6 months of the year. These tires are probably THE worst I have ever had. Second, I bought them from the above store on a sale. The store didn't change valve stems or balance the tires. They just threw them on quickly to get me out. The Goodyear sale was why I thought they acted this way, but because I was saving some $$, I just drove away. I won't be going back to the above location, nor would I ever by SilentArmour again living where I do.

These are not an off-road tire after 7yrs I had 3 rock shots. But if you are looking for a tire to travel the highways in the Rocky Mountains and take what ever Mother Nature has to throw at you. Give you an extra long life. Then these are the tires. That I would throw on.

Ready to replace - at 21,000 miles even though rotated and balanced at regular intervals. Very pleased first 7000 miles but then went downhill form there. Cannot be convinced to put another set of Good Year Wranglers on my 2010 Dodge Ram. OEM Wranglers needed to be replaced at 35,000 miles.
