The new ECSTA AST combines exotic looks, high technology and everyday use durability in a low profile package. Designed to provide all season traction, long mileage and good looks, the ECSTA AST also delivers high performance grip and handling.

If you like to drive your car fast you will not like these tires. I have them installed on my 1987 VW GTI 16v, which isn't a very powerful car, and they spin all the time. I can say without a doubt that these are the worst tires I have ever bought. My car is given high marks for its handling and I have never been able to get the car sideways as easily as I could with these tires. The town I live in has a lot of stop and go traffic on very steep hills. These tires have such poor traction in wet conditions that I have to try to avoid the steeper routes when it is raining so I don't spin the entire way up the hill. I have a little over 1000 miles on these tires and I am already looking to replace them. I will probably never buy kumho tires again.

Extremely affordable handled amazing for spirited canyon drives, long road trips/sustained high speed cruising.. Easy to slide in the rain but confidently if you're experienced and know your car and its limits. Never drove on them in the snow. My only complaint was the tread wear... Tires rated tread wear 400, temperature A, and traction A. These claims are very deceiving as they Were by far the Worst lifespan of any tire ive owned in my life! Bought at discount tire here in Las Vegas nov. 2014.. Had 2 rotations both on time and by June of 15 they were all at or past the wear lines with a total of 13,000 miles on them. Now riding on falken pro G4 all seasons with a 65k mile rating. So far I prefer the handling characteristics of the kumhos by a large margin just wish they hadn't worn so rapidly.

I'm an Original Owner of a 1995 Camaro Z28. Comparing Kumho Esta AST to BF Goodrich SS A/S tires, I think the Kumho's are superior. They may not be the best tire for racing, but for everyday spirited driving their great tires. Best bang for the buck!

Pretty good performance in dry weather, no overly intruding road noise, good cornering performance. Good balance between performance and comfortable I would say. But in the wet it is very easy to let the back-end step out a bit, so be aware of that.
