These are okay but I find them noisey and my fuel consumption seems high

Have run these KL78s on a couple of vehicles now. Good price compared to the BF Goodrich, Coopers, Bridgestones etc, with average wear. For a blockier AT, reasonable grip on bitumen, wet or dry. Chip a little in stony country, good sand tyre. Sides bag a little more than some tyres so run slightly higher pressures than you would with other tyres. Have not tried them out in deep mud, but friends report they work well for an AT tyre.

Understand that Kumho, BF Goodrich, Mickey Thompson, etc., neither design nor build such remarkable tires for around time or a trip to grandma’s house driving. These type of tires are built for tough use on and off road, and the above ratings reflect those facts. The Kumho Road Venture AT (KL 78) (“Kumho AT”) is my first post-lift kit tire on my 2009 FJ Cruiser. The Kumho AT is a truly outstanding value in a tire that likely belongs in an entirely different league (e.g. LT295/75-16 125R BF Goodrich A/T T/A KOs @ $265.00+ each or similarly sized – LT285/70-17 125S - Big-O Big Foot A/T @ $315.00+ per tire). It performs well above its price point (i.e., ~$220.00), which one can find at even lower prices on other internet tire sites. For its outstanding value, I note that its only minor weakness is poor snow evacuation from the treads, creating a severe lack of traction; use chains. Otherwise, take good care of this tire and have fun on Strawberry Pass, Canyon Lands, Upper American Fork Canyon, etc.!

Live in desert. Great on-road performance, not so great off-road. Good wear; after 20k mi. still have 2/3 or more of original tread left & still look almost new. Very quiet with excellent grip when new; average noise & very good grip at about 10k mi.
