The ratings I have given are not indicative of what I think of the tire. This is why? On dry or wet roads, the tires are great. No noise and comfortable. On snow, the tires were not the greatest and today I found out that the tires are useless on ice too. I turned right going at a fairly slow speed and there was NO traction. No steering. No braking. No control. Good thing there weren't any cars around otherwise I would have hit them for sure. I went from one side of the road to the other trying to gain control. This should not happen with winter tires in my opinion especially ones that claim to be ice tires. I had better luck with Blizzaks.

Lattitude X-Ice X12. Just drove from Edmonton to Vancouver, Whistler, Kamloops and back. December 11/12. Had dry pavement, rain, slush, snow, compact snow and ice. Also drove through 5" of un-plowed side road in Mt-Robson park. Have to say that after doubting these tires due too not being aggressive looking enough, I was surprised at how well my truck drove. Looking at these tires, you wouldn't think they where winters. Passing vehicles and semi-trucks on icy roads was a breeze, especially in 4 wheel drive. My back end did slip a little in two wheels going over slushy area's of the road on my pass over centre lines and when the turbo kicked in, but once I tried this in 4x4, piece of cake. Felt really comfortable and safe in all driving conditions. Should mention that truck bed was empty with no weight. Would recommend these tires to anyone. Don't know Treadwear as I haven't had these long enough and Handling was down a notch due to handling in slushy condition.

The salesman who pushed me into buying these claimed they were snow tires. I said they look like regular tire. I was right, they were terrible in the snow. I ended up selling the Michelins for a fraction of what I paid and buying real snow tires.

Excellent on ice and slush. Not as good on deep wet snow but you won't get stuck. The best all around winter tire out there.
