I've tried the new Yokohama IG51v on my '15 Sorento SUV and they did not perform as well as the Xi3 on my rear wheel drive car in the same parking lot. The SUV actually got stuck multiple times. I also have NordFrost 5 on my '02 Corolla, older Yokohama snow on my '96 Integra, and Nexen on my '97 Maxima. General Altimax on my '12 Rogue (RIP). The Xi3 have been the best so far in ALL conditions. Dry handling was very surprising to me as you can see I have several other tires. I had better traction going uphill than my SUV on the same hills too. I used to drive 30,000 km a year 6+ years so I have tons of experience on snow tires alone.

WOW! When I first installed these tires.... I couldn't wait for the snow. Mean while, it was good on pavement. Low noise, nice ride but soft (it's snow tires - mean't to go below 0*C). But when I saw the first snow fall!!! Great fun to drive in the snow, good grip even if I drive a front wheel drive car, superb handling and good stop distance. I'm impressed and swear by MICHELIN has I also have a pair for summer tires. Love them! I will by the same types for my other car and futur ones. I'm a experience driver - weekend warrior.

The XI3 snow tire is still one of the best top three snow tires on the market and the only one that has a mileage warranty (40,000 miles). Dollar per dollar spent, the XI3 is the best choice out there. I have a set of them on both my car and the wife's minivan and can tell you they perform extremely well and have saved us from several hazardous road conditions caused by winter weather. Keep yourself and your loved ones safe and get a set of these tires for the next winter season!
