This is my 3rd set of Michelin tires I've purchased in the last 15 months. My current Michelin Pilot AS3's are awesome for summer tires. My Michelin Premiere AS are also awesome for All Seasons but the X-Ice Xi3's should not be a compatible tire listed for the 2016 Mustang GT! It is great on wet slushy snow, rainy days and dry roads but when you hit light traces of snow or even 3-6 inches of snow on this car it's a very scary ride. It doesn't give you a sense of assurance or confidence in your handling and feels "floaty" and my tires are only (235/50/18). I'm pretty sure these tires are great on some cars but these weren't my first Z series tires but my second one which also had the exact same characteristics and that was why I got rid of them. I thought they would have improved those traction flaws 3 generations later, guess not! I was still under the 30 day promise plan after being approved by more than one agent because they could not offer me better winter tires except these even though there are other BF Goodrich & Uniroyal's, this is why the refund was offered. Michelin cannot keep their promise and word and was not satisfied on how they took care of this matter as instead they would rather make people ride on unsafe tires with our children on them.

Had my dealership mount the 2016 model X-Ice 3's on my escape 4wd. It's been almost 4 months of moderate to light snow in my area of Canada with some severe ice conditions and a lot of wet conditions. I must say I am very impressed with the handling and grip on both ice and wet roads. Snow never reached more than 5 inches this year but theses tires had no problem with traction. Couple this with Michelin's legendary treadwear life and these tires receive 5 stars.

Very happy with the way the tires handle in the winter. Not at all impressed that after only 3 months and 4,000 km I blew out a back tire driving on a smooth dry highway. Toyota could find no nail or puncture, but said it was not a manufacturer's defect and I had to replace the tire at full cost. Not impressed!
