These are a very economical winter tire. Rolling resistance is noticeably lower than my stock summer tires (can coast much farther in neutral), which will result in fuel savings. The price is relatively low, and unlike any other winter tire they have a 60,000km treadwear rating. I only expect to get 30,000km out of mine based on the wear so far, but I do a lot of AWD drifting on snowy roads. Would still expect less wear though. Snow and ice traction are both good, but this tire design is a bit more geared towards ice, which is preferable for an AWD car. Comfort and noise are both good. Dry handling is pretty good for a non-performance winter tire.

I'm really surprised at the low rate responses like getting stuck in 4 inch of snow or up a hill? Something other than the tires is not right like the driver or the tires were not downsized or rotated. I suspect so since, I drive a lowered sport RWD car for goodness sake and I have none of those issues that these people speak of. I've had these tires now for 4 years and they performance just like they were new in SNOW, SNOW covered ICE, ICE, black ICE. I live in Toronto and drive daily, up, down, and around. Went into an uncleared parking lot with at least 10 inches of snow a couple years ago. Never got stuck once. Stopped and started with ease just for fun! By far "best overall" among the ones I've had throughout the years: Winter Viking, Yokohama iceguard ig20 & ig52c, Gislaved Nordforst 5.

Good tire for the price. Climbing hills on snow and ice is really easy. The handling is good on every condition. Those tire are less good on dry and high temperature. Over 7 Celsius the distance for breaking is poor. No noise from those tire and still good after 5 winters. Best tire that i purchase whit the nokian hakkapelita r.
