total trash. wore out in less than 5000 miles. constant vibrations at 55 mph let alone 125+. loud road noise. and this was my weekend car. no street racing. no hard driving.slid in rain and tight turns even when dry and wouldn't stop spinning every red-light. WILL NOT BUY AGAIN.

They were awesome at the begining.... but once they all hit 11,000 miles, they started growing blisters, they became real bad, real soon. I definitely will never buy this make on tires... ever... thay didn't last the minimum expected

Many of the negative comments on these tires state that they perform poorly on colder and or icy roads. These are summer UHP tires, it doesn't matter what SUMMER tire you use on cold or icy roads they will perform poorly! These are NOT recommended for icy or snow covered roads(.) They are summer tires ONLY! I've had these on my TT Quattro for four years and they've been nothing but excellent tires! I put on my winter tires in November whether or not there's snow; and only remount the N3000's in May when the weather gets nicer and there's less chance of cold weather affecting my driving with them. These aren't the quietest tires on the market and the tread wear is slightly above average; but summer UHP tires and cold weather don't mix(period).!

Nexen 5000's are the sole WORST tire to have in Winter conditions especially if you have a light vehicle with a manual transmission. from a dead stop; I can burn the tires in 1st going to second gear on a 1.8 L engine. and the car won't even move on wet pavement in a need for slightly faster acceleration from a dead stop. Snow/ice handling is dreadful; im a very cautious driver and in snowy and icy weather I make sure im so far behind others that it usually annoys people behind me; but that's usually because I don't have trust in these tires and they work the ABS for all its worth every time I slowly even come to a slicker intersection. My nerves are SHOT by the time I get to my destination. im putting my Goodyear Eagle RS-A's back on my car for the winter months. In dry months and light fall weather; these tires are wonderful; they grip well, they mostly quiet, nice ride and hold well when cornering. just don't trust them for your deep winter months.
